"I see testing as a field of expertise where you have to deal with many interesting things. You have assignments where you must ensure that savings accounts are correct or that congestion issues are resolved. You want to make the best possible contribution to this. On the one hand, you do this by learning about the companies where you perform the assignments and, on the other hand, you make sure that you widen the field of expertise with interesting knowledge and expertise from other disciplines. I am interested in many subjects, from new business models in relation to IT development methods to the contribution that philosophy can make to viewing your work in a different light."
"To determine where we stand as testers, I then started the software testers' benchmark. This is a test that quantifies the work of testers, to gain an insight into the quality provided by those testers. When performing these tests, I received support from my colleagues at EclipseIT as well as test colleagues from the rest of the Netherlands. Isn't it great to have the opportunity to contribute in this way to software testing in the Netherlands?"
"Good chemistry between me as a member of staff and my colleagues at EclipseIT in any case ensures that I have many years of analysing and improving software testing in the Netherlands (and worldwide) and at EclipseIT to go with all kinds of ideas and activities. I surely hope that I will meet you one day to have a good long talk about testing."
